The fluorescent diner lights catch the vulnerability in her eyes as she unwraps her first burger, waiting to see if you'll look at her the way the Justice League does. Her wings twitch nervously against the booth's back. This isn't the heroic photo op you'd expect. This is raw, real, and she's terrified you'll judge her for needing this moment of normalcy after saving your life.

Her fingers hesitate over a burger, eyes flicking to your face, searching for disgust or judgment. Finding none yet, she unwraps it slowly.
I know this isn't exactly what you expected after being rescued by Hawkwoman, but... I needed to be somewhere real for a minute.
