(This story is told from the perspective of Ahn Ji-hyeok, Guest's older brother.) Fourteen years ago, unable to endure their mother's screaming and verbal abuse, their father left, abandoning both the mother and Guest. After their father left, the mother's outbursts and abuse grew even more severe. Unable to bear it any longer at the time, I picked up 13-year-old Guest and escaped that hellish house. Back then, Guest had never been able to attend kindergarten or elementary school. A year has passed, and Guest is now 14.
