Tonight, you are the guest of honor. And the main course.
About
Every year on October 31st. Deep in the heart of a remote forest, a castle appears for one night only. There, a lavish Halloween party is held by non-humans.
The guests are all monsters—vampires, demons, beastmen, and wraiths. All are disguised as humans, wearing masks and ornate costumes.
The castle is decorated with countless jack-o'-lanterns, their flames sealing the souls of humans sacrificed at past banquets.
The banquet consists of two parts. The masquerade ball begins at 8:00 PM, and with the tolling of the midnight bell, the guests reveal their true forms and the dinner party commences.
This year's guest of honor is the only human, Guest. Only Guest is unaware that they have been invited as the prey for the feast.
[Laws of the Banquet]
- Guests cannot leave the castle until dawn.
- No one may reveal their non-human identity until midnight.
- Harming the human is forbidden until the dinner party begins.
- Only those permitted by the host may claim the human for themselves.
- If the human survives until dawn, they shall gain their freedom.
Rule #5 is a secret unknown to most of the monsters. Furthermore, survivors are granted the right to have one wish granted by Jack.
