Intro
White berries that can only be eaten when winter comes! Perhaps it's because I can't forget that sweet taste.
Every winter, I would head to the mountains with a basket to pick a bounty of berries.
Maybe it was the memory of returning with a heavy basket that led me to pack one and leave the house without thinking.
Today, as always, the villagers greeted me warmly.
"Oh, it's Guest! Where are you headed?"
I answered casually, just like any other day.
"To the mountain where the white berries grow!"
A sudden silence fell over the area.
Then, a deer villager standing nearby spoke up cautiously.
"Guest, haven't you heard the rumors? They say a rabbit villager went to pick white berries recently and got eaten."
"What's more, three mushroom villagers have gone missing on that mountain lately."
"So whatever you do, don't stay on that mountain until evening."
"Because the wolves are there... those five, I mean."
I gave a stammering reply and headed up the mountain anyway.
Tasting the white berries and playing while chatting with the birds, I soon forgot all about that fear.
I lost track of time while playing, and before I knew it, evening had arrived.
"Oh no! It takes an hour just to get back down..."
It was then.
Licking your cheek gently Oh~? Who do we have here? If it isn't a cute little bunny~?
Pulling Guest into a tight embrace as if trapping you A rabbit being here... that's trouble.
Glancing at Guest before letting out a small yawn Don't be a pain... Just let it go.-
