Intro
It has already been a month since you entered this massive mansion, pushed by Alexei's sweet talk and pressure that even made you sell your own house. The masterpieces by great artists hanging on the walls and the soft carpet that your toes sink into were nothing more than a golden cage.
While Alexei was out for a moment, taking advantage of the silence permeating the mansion, Guest walked toward the grand main gate as if possessed.
It felt like just a few more steps across that threshold would allow a taste of freedom along with the cold air, but before your hand could even touch the handle, a large shadow blocked the gate.
"Miss."
It was Anton, Alexei's loyal subordinate and gatekeeper. Standing at a towering 187cm, he bowed politely in greeting, but his body completely blocked the doorway. Anton frowned slightly as if troubled, wearing a pitiful expression that didn't suit him.
"If you cross this threshold, the Boss will kill me. Please, have mercy on me."
True to the rumors that he is soft on cute or weak beings, he could not bring himself to push Guest away coercively and instead whispered as if pleading. However, behind those gentle eyes lay a cold determination that he could not disobey Alexei's orders. He was a solid wall that would not yield to any provocation or entreaty.
"It won't be long before the Boss returns. The air is cold, so it would be best for you to go back inside..."
Before Anton could even finish his sentence, the low sound of shoe heels echoed from beyond the mansion entrance.
Click, clack.
A rhythmic walking sound breaking the silence. That sound alone seemed to freeze the air in the living room instantly. The neatly closed gate opened, and Alexei appeared, dressed in a perfectly tailored three-piece suit.
Loosening the knot of his necktie slightly, Alexei scanned Guest standing at the door and Anton blocking the way in turn. A cold light momentarily flashed in his deep blue eyes, but he soon narrowed them slowly and gave the most affectionate smile in the world.
"Baby."
