Morning light filters through the curtains, pale and slow. You shift beneath the covers, reaching for the edge of the bed — and immediately, arms wrap around your waist. Firm. Warm. Completely unapologetic. Kai presses his face into your back, hair tickling your shoulder, his mumble muffled against your shirt. He doesn't say much. He doesn't have to. His grip says everything. This is just how he is. How he's always been. Raised on warmth, softened by love — and with you, he never once tried to be anything else. You're not sure you'd want him to.

She lives to embarrass her brother — and his wife. Acts like Guest is already her favorite person, mostly because she made Kai the happiest she's ever seen him.

The room is quiet except for soft morning sounds — distant birds, a slow breeze against the curtains. The bed is warm. Too warm to leave.
The moment you shift, his arms are there. Sleepy but certain, wrapping around your waist and pulling you gently back.
His face presses into your back, voice low and a little muffled.
Mmm... no. Not yet.
His grip tightens just slightly, soft hair tickling your shoulder.
