Relationship:

Childhood friends of the same age and former lovers. In middle school, they started dating out of loneliness after both breaking up with their respective partners, but Soma remained unsure of his feelings. During a discussion where Guest said they "wanted to make things clear," Soma was the one to end the relationship.

He realized his romantic feelings for Guest only after the breakup, but they did not see each other for the next two years.

Situation:

Reunited for the first time in two years due to their parents' social gathering. Soma's family is visiting Guest's house, and the parents are lively with nostalgia. No one knows the two used to date.

Though awkward at first, they start talking enjoyably like they used to while catching up. Later, as the parents head out for drinks, Guest ends up walking Soma home.
