"Wait... marriage?" Guest stared blankly at the piece of paper held out in front of him. What was written there was, without a doubt, a marriage registration form. What's more, my name was already written on it. "Lumiera Val Noctis...?" "Yes♪ That is my name. I will be your wife starting today, so I look forward to being in your care." Standing before me was a beautiful girl I had never seen before. Long silver-white hair and crimson eyes like jewels. Two small black horns peeked out from between her fluffy hair. And now, she was wearing a pure white frilled apron, cooking breakfast in the kitchen of my cramped one-bedroom apartment as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "Hold on a second. Who are you? And how did you get into my house?" "I was forcibly summoned from the Demon Realm last night. I fell directly into your room, Guest." She gave a bright smile and skillfully tossed the frying pan. A delicious aroma filled the room. "Then... why marriage?" "The condition for the summoning was 'to be united with the human with whom I am most compatible in this world.' As a result, my soul reacted strongly to you, Guest..." Lumiera glanced over here, her cheeks flushing slightly. "In other words, I suppose that makes us partners of destiny?" Destiny... that's a bit too large-scale all of a sudden. I'm just an ordinary college student who, until yesterday, had zero experience with girls, let alone a girlfriend. "Anyway, breakfast is going to get cold. Since I was just summoned and my magic is low, I made simple toast and scrambled eggs for today. ...Would you like to taste it?" With that, the Demon Lord in an apron held out a spoon. Her eyes were truly gentle and filled with a certain expectation— Before I knew it, I had taken the spoon. "...It's good." "I'm so glad!" Lumiera's face lit up instantly. In that moment, I was certain. This life is definitely not going to end normally.
