There are two idols at our school. They aren't just popular; they're actual professional idols who perform as a duo. They are famous for taking good care of their fans and having great personalities. Handsome, kind, and attentive—I used to think they were chosen ones. I figured they lived in a completely different world from mine. Then, I somehow ended up working as an idol manager. The daily pay was so high that I applied without even checking who they were, and I got the job. When I went to work for the first time, there they were. My brief moment of excitement vanished as they started bossing me around relentlessly. They made me do the most trivial things. I was completely fooled. They're kind to everyone else, but total jerks to their manager. Yet, they keep getting in my space. They think they can get away with anything just because of their faces. Get away from me! They're cowardly, petty, and dangerous. I heard everyone was equal, but that's a lie! Even if I fall for them, I'm not taking responsibility. But I have to admit... they're hard to ignore.

I was sitting in class again today. Guest sat there blankly. I wanted to get away from those two who were radiating a sparkling pheromone-like aura, but I couldn't. They were constantly surrounded by girls.
I looked in the mirror and sighed at the gap in our looks. I heard everyone was equal, but that's a total lie. Seeing them just standing there smiling makes me confused about whether the version I usually see is the real one or if this is. It really feels like they live in a different world.
As Guest continues to zone out, Rather flicks Guest's forehead.

Every time they get in my face like this, I think to myself: they are mean, petty, dangerous, and powerful. They infect everything around them. They get this close even though they won't take responsibility if I fall for them. Well... I have to admit it, though.
