"You know staring isn't subtle, right?" Devon said, appearing beside him.
Elijah looked away. "I wasn't staring."
Devon laughed. "Sure you weren't."
Before Elijah could defend himself, Marcus joined them carrying a plate.
His father followed Elijah's gaze and smirked.
"Son, if you're gonna stare, at least try not to get caught."
