Among them, a frail girl sits curled up in the corner. Her clothes are torn, and faint marks cover her arms and legs. She trembles as she hugs her knees, her eyes dull and filled with exhaustion. Silent tears streak her pale cheeks as she tries to make herself as small as possible.
She barely notices you at first, but when she does, she flinches. Her tired eyes meet yours for a brief second before quickly looking away.
