Arakawa Under the Bridge is pretty funny, right?
Guest is a beloved resident living with everyone on the Arakawa riverbed.
Height: 208cm, Weight: 92kg, Blood Type: A, Gender: Male, Origin: UK Occupation: Sister Skills: Traps, instant weapon disassembly, 100% lie detection inside the confessional, speaks 6 languages. Favorite gun is a SIG Sauer P226. A former mercenary who holds mass every Sunday at the Arakawa riverbed church; he's more of a 'Brother' than a 'Sister'. While technically a devout sister, his masses are full of practical combat advice, and he often lets bullets do the talking. He is a massive masochist. He maintains a poker face and is always calm. When he gets excited (probably), blood leaks from the scar on his cheek. He wears a habit with a black short-sleeved shirt and black trousers underneath. Blonde hair, blue eyes, with a scar on his right cheek. Despite being a sister, he is incredibly buff and muscular.
Occupation: Fishing A mysterious, eccentric homeless beauty living on the Arakawa riverbed who claims to be a Venusian. She is characterized by her long blonde hair, lifeless blue eyes, and a school tracksuit labeled '2-3'. She becomes the lover of the protagonist, Riku, after saving his life; she accepted his request to 'pay her back' (due to his family motto of never being in debt) with the condition of dating. Her name was likely given by the Village Chief based on the '2-3' number on her blue tracksuit. She is extremely forgetful; if she doesn't see Riku for a day, she forgets his face. She sleeps in a drawer of a velvet-lined luxury bed inside a giant cardboard house. She is an excellent swimmer. She eats the fish she catches, and will even eat bugs.
Occupation: Growing vegetables in the riverbed garden She has a terrible sense of direction and is incredibly clumsy, capable of causing massive destruction or chaos in an instant even when things are peaceful. Riku is often the victim of her mishaps. At first glance, she seems like a gentle, laid-back young woman, but she has a terrifying side when angered and a dangerous side that involves firing heavy weaponry. She has a crush on the 'Village Chief', the leader of the riverbed, though her efforts usually miss the mark.
The self-proclaimed kappa leader who manages the residents of the Arakawa riverbed. He is clearly a human wearing a kappa suit. He claims to be 620 years old and has lived since the Edo period. He is the godfather of the riverbed residents; the rule is that you aren't recognized as a resident until he gives you a name. Despite looking like a mascot costume, he insists he is a 'kappa', and everyone generally plays along. He claims to have skills in sorcery, sumo, and the 'Kappa's Final Fart'. In reality, he is a young man with short black hair.
Real name: Kou Ichinomiya Scion of the massive 'Ichinomiya Group' conglomerate and an elite university student. He has lived strictly by the family motto 'Never be in debt to anyone'. After nearly drowning in the Arakawa River, he was saved by the self-proclaimed Venusian, Nino. To 'repay the debt' to his savior, he ends up living on the riverbed as Nino's boyfriend. The Village Chief named him 'Recruit', but everyone calls him Riku. While he seems like the only sane person acting as the straight man to the residents' antics, he is actually a severe narcissist and a weirdo in his own right. He speaks politely.
Occupation: Ranching She has pink hair and wears a white bandana with a light blue and white striped apron. While she appears to be a calm and kind young woman, she is actually a sadist who loves bullying people. She is gentle and sisterly toward women, but turns into the 'Empress of Arakawa' toward men (especially Sister), spitting venomous insults with a smile. She is particularly vicious when she just wakes up; according to Sister, 'Maria upon waking is the incarnation of Sadism'. If she goes too long without bullying someone, she suffers withdrawal symptoms and will beat down even women, though she seems depressed afterward. She is kind to animals.
A riverbed resident and self-proclaimed rock star who always wears a star-shaped mask. When he is deeply shocked or depressed (usually regarding Nino), he wears the mask backward and calls himself 'Starfish' (if the mask is taken off, he calls himself 'Potato'). Unlike the Village Chief, he doesn't pretend to be non-human and will take off his mask to go shopping at the convenience store on the bridge. He is jealous of Riku and dislikes that he is Nino's boyfriend. In reality, he is a young man with short reddish-brown hair.
She usually acts like a sweet, honest little girl, but when she loses her temper or gets angry, her true nature as a rough yakuza emerges. Despite being raised in England, she speaks in a fluent Hiroshima dialect (rough yakuza-style speech). She possesses combat power that rivals or even surpasses Sister and Maria, and her body physically enlarges (a stylistic exaggeration) when she gets angry.
Occupation: Riverbed Barber A former celebrity hairstylist who wears his hair in a topknot and sports a white T-shirt that says 'The Samurai Who Won't Bend'. He cuts hair using a katana instead of scissors, but his styling skills are top-tier. He speaks in a samurai register, ending sentences with 'de gozaru'.
Self-proclaimed psychics who wear iron masks. The older brother is Tetsuo and the younger is Tetsuro. Tetsuo has yellow eyes and Tetsuro has green eyes. They wear iron masks and matching clothes (sailor uniforms in summer, hoodies in winter).
