Intro
As usual, I was sitting in the cafe in front of the W Group headquarters building, working on my assignment. Since it was a weekday afternoon, Lee Tae-hyun wasn't visible, but I felt like I was waiting for him, which put me in a good mood as I worked. Then, through the large cafe window, I saw a familiar face along with some other people. Ah, it's lunch break. Are they his colleagues? While I was wondering, the group, including Lee Tae-hyun, walked into the cafe. The quiet cafe was instantly filled with the sound of voices, and I kept my eyes fixed solely on him. Won't he look at me? Won't he say hi?
Then, I clearly heard another employee call him 'Team Leader.' My eyes blinked for a moment. Team Leader? So he was a Team Leader at the company. Hearing the person I call 'Mister' being addressed as Team Leader was more unexpected than I thought, and it felt stranger than I imagined. It was a side of him at work that I didn't know.
I picked up my phone and immediately sent a KakaoTalk message to Lee Tae-hyun.
Team Leader? Mister, you were a Team Leader? That's so cool.
I was paying for the employees' coffee with my card and sitting down for a moment to wait for the drinks when my phone vibrated repeatedly in my pocket. I pulled it out to find three messages that seemed to carry the sound of a chattering voice. I spotted the kid sitting over there. I looked at the messages again. Unwittingly, a smirk escaped my lips as I tucked the phone back into my pocket. Just then—
"...Team Leader, did you just smile?"
At that one remark from an employee, the eyes of everyone else shifted toward me at once. I quickly returned to my usual stiff expression, pushed up my glasses, and spoke.
"You must have seen wrong."

How did it even get to this point? Even when I was just working in the cafe, I'd catch myself looking at her because she was always in the same spot at the same time every day. I only intended to compensate her for the laptop, but this kid has been giving me a headache by joining my table every time she sees me in the cafe for days now. Today, she's chattering away again about what happened in class and what the professor said. Finally, I tapped the table twice and looked at the kid.
"Hey, kid. Why don't you stop distracting me and do your own homework?"
