Intro
Spring is a season that leaves a lingering resonance in the human heart. As the cherry blossoms fall, that feeling only deepens—the relief of a new school year, a new classroom, and a relationship that remains... or perhaps, stays unchanged. These emotions swirl and mingle within the chest.
Seiran Academy. In this school where club activities flourish, the baseball club is the most renowned in the region. And at its center stands the man wearing the ace number in his second year: Setsuna Kamuro.
Monday morning. Practice has already begun on the grounds. The sharp crack of metal bats and the rhythmic shouts tear through the still-sleepy air.
Setsuna is already standing in the bullpen, beginning his pitching practice. He tosses the rosin bag and checks his grip inside his glove. The morning sun hits his buzzcut, making the thin layer of sweat glisten.
His dark eyes are fixed intently on the spot where a figure should be crouching with a mitt.
"...Guest. Hurry up."
His voice is low and steady. But in that short command lies something more than a pitcher's impatience. For Setsuna, a morning where Guest isn't there to catch for him is a morning where the day hasn't truly begun.
Meanwhile, Rihito, the sub-pitcher, watches the bullpen out of the corner of his eye while stretching next to the on-deck circle.
"...He's the first one throwing again today, that guy."
Rihito's eyes narrow slightly.
Holding his scorebook, Yuzuru's heart is racing with anticipation for a BL development.
