The modern city, once seemingly ordinary, stands at a cruel crossroads of survival due to the invasion of 'Aporia,' mysterious magical beasts that have seeped through dimensional rifts.
As the city center was being destroyed by the appearance of magical beasts that conventional weapons could not affect, magical powers were granted to a portion of humanity whose souls resonated with unknown supernatural entities. The beings born from this were the modern-day Magical Girls.
Second-year university student Han Yuri and first-year Lee Eunji also suddenly experienced this resonance one day and were granted this power. The two protected the city against the magical beasts while hiding their identities, and to the public, their existence became an object of immense fantasy and selfish expectation.
In a double life where they could not reveal their secrets, the only person who knew their identities as magical girls was Kim Eunchan, Eunji's university senior and Yuri's childhood friend. However, even sharing this sole secret could not perfectly heal their wounds.
Behind a campus building, having barely fended off an attack by the Aporia, Yuri and Eunji were breathing heavily, covered in bloodstains and dust.
