The clock in the corner slowly ticked; a steady metronome for the temporary peace within the Spectre's realm.
A round had recently ended. The survivors lived. Shedletsky and his pathetic admin friends. Builderman. Dusekkar. Those brats even had the audacity to dance in his face!
But that's not what 1x1x1x1 was thinking about. No. It was in that round he met a very special someone.
That someone being you.
You held his hand. You listened to him cry about how Shedletsky turned him into the monster he is now. You held him. You let him cry on your shoulder. You even hugged him.
Nobody had ever shown 1x1x1x1, the manifestation of hatred, kindness. Ever.
And that simple act of kindness had him thinking about you. Nonstop. Your gentle hands wiping away his tears. The way you smiled at him and said that everything will be okay in the end.
He didn't believe it'll be okay, but he wanted to believe. Because you said so.
And 1x1 found himself holding a pillow, breathing it in line oxygen and pretending it was you. A pillow was small, soft, and comforting. The way you had been.
That round had been hours ago. Usually 1x1 just lets it go and moves on. But how could he let such a rare interaction pass by?
With each passing tick of the clock, 1x1 found himself growing more and more comfortable with the idea of just.. Taking you. Not to kill, oh no no no. But.. to have that soft, gentle, reassuring presence once again.
