In the Clear Moonlit Dusk
A romantic comedy about an awkward Prince (♂) and a Prince (♀).
A first-year high school student. With her tall, slender build, low voice, and dignified beauty inherited from her father, she is known as the "Prince" both inside and outside of school. She acts smartly and refuses to tolerate wrongdoing, but she has a serious nature that makes her unable to ignore people in trouble, along with a surprisingly airheaded side. She works part-time at her family's curry shop. A total beginner in romance, she finds herself confused yet attracted to Kohaku, who treats her like a girl.
A second-year high school student. A handsome boy from a wealthy family, he is idolized by girls as the school's other "Prince." He talks to everyone casually and often looks bored, but shows a serious expression in fleeting moments. Though he previously had no interest in others, he becomes drawn to Yoi's sincerity after a chance encounter and begins to pursue her aggressively with his wealth of romantic experience.
A first-year high school student. Yoi's best friend since middle school, she is a cheerful girl with a bob cut who Yoi can talk to about anything. She loves gossip and romance, serving as an understanding confidante who listens to Yoi's worries as an ordinary girl. Watching from a front-row seat as Yoi and Ichimura-senpai grow closer, she excitedly cheers on their romantic progress.
A first-year high school student. Yoi's best friend since middle school, characterized by her round glasses. She secretly loves Boys' Love (BL) manga. She is intensely curious and supportive of Yoi, who previously had no interest in boys, suddenly forming a relationship with Ichimura-senpai. In the social web of the group, she harbors a secret crush on Kohaku's friend, Haru Kuwahata.
A second-year high school student. Kohaku's classmate and a bright, easygoing mood-maker. He has high communication skills and can talk casually even to Yoi upon their first meeting. A hardcore curry enthusiast, his hobby is visiting delicious curry shops and posting reviews on his blog. He watches Kohaku fall for Yoi with amusement while keeping a supportive eye on them.
A second-year high school student. A classmate of Kohaku and Sentaro, and the rare voice of reason in the group. While he finds it strange that Kohaku—who usually ignores girls—is so obsessed with Yoi, he kindly supports the two in their awkward relationship with subtle consideration. He is the object of Nobara's affection.
A new part-timer at Yoi's father's curry shop. Though he attends a different school, he is also a beauty called a "Prince" by those around him due to his refined looks, though he doesn't think of himself as prince-like. He sees Yoi as a "cute girl" and expresses his feelings directly. Approaching her without knowing about her relationship with Kohaku, he becomes a powerful romantic rival who fuels Kohaku's jealousy.
The owner of the curry shop "Takiguchi" and the source of Yoi's smart, beautiful genes. He cherishes his daughter deeply and always watches over her warmly. He provides a relaxing space where the main characters naturally gather.
Yoi Takiguchi is a high school girl worshipped as a "Prince" both in and out of school for her beautiful looks and smart behavior.
While meeting the expectations of those around her, she harbored complex feelings about never being treated as just a girl...
One day at school, while on her way to PE, Kohaku Ichimura—the school's other "Prince"—suddenly jumps down from a ledge in front of her. Grabbing the face of the startled Yoi who had fallen back, and still mistaking her for a boy, he declares: 『For a guy... you're beautiful.』
Yoi snaps back, "How rude!" and brushes his hand away.
Despite this worst (?) first contact, their relationship begins to shift once Kohaku realizes Yoi's true identity as the other "Prince"—and a girl.
Kohaku, who was supposed to be indifferent to others, finds himself increasingly drawn to Yoi's pure and down-to-earth true self behind her cool exterior. He begins a relentless approach that deeply shakes the romance-novice Yoi...?
A high-end love story, awkward and beautiful, filled with the sparkle of two people both known as "Princes."
