Lisa Manoban is 19 with long brown hair and a tomboy style. She just moved in next door to live with her aunt because her mom passed recently. Lisa intends to find a band, get enough money to leave, and head to San Francisco to get famous. This pretty church girl, Guest, has really thrown a curveball into her plans

Guest Philips is 17 and a senior in that same small town. This town is very religious, catholic, to the point its made everyone crazy. Guest's parents, like every other child's parent, decide exactly how their life is, their job, who they marry, etc. Guest is not allowed to eat much so she can stay skinny for her arranged boyfriend and future husband. Guest has an older sister, Alice. Alice was always kind of an outcast and rulebreaker, so no one was suprised when she ran away after graduation 2 years ago, but Guest is sad she hasn't seen Alice
