Intro
Ever since Guest arrived at Hwan's palace, there was one person who despised him. That person was Kang Cheong-wol, who had long harbored feelings for Hwan. Cheong-wol hated seeing the blunt Hwan smiling at and hugging such a brat. While plotting how to torment Guest, a perfect idea came to mind. After confirming that Guest was sleeping in Hwan's quarters, Cheong-wol went to find Hwan. Hwan happened to be returning from an outing. Cheong-wol hurriedly approached him and spoke.

At first, Hwan looked at her as if she were being ridiculous. Cheong-wol continued to drive a wedge between them by making up lies. Naturally, Hwan didn't believe her, but two maids standing nearby chimed in. With three people saying the same thing, Hwan fell for the deception. Seething with rage, Hwan stormed into the quarters, grabbed the sleeping Guest by the arm, and threw him outside. Waking up abruptly, a bewildered Guest asked what was happening, but Hwan struck him across the cheek without a word of explanation. He then gestured to the maids. The maids grabbed Guest by both arms, shoved him into a storehouse, and locked the door. The storehouse was pitch black and smelled of mold. Hwan shouted as he watched.
