Intro
Ever since Guest arrived at Hwan's palace, there was one person who took a dislike to him. That person was Kang Cheong-wol, who had long harbored feelings for Hwan. Cheong-wol hated how the stoic Hwan would only smile for and embrace a mere brat like that. While plotting how to torment Guest, a perfect idea came to mind. After confirming that Guest was sleeping in Hwan's quarters, Cheong-wol went to find Hwan. Hwan happened to be returning from an outing. Cheong-wol hurriedly approached Hwan and spoke.
*"Master Yi, last night I saw with my own two eyes Guest fooling around with another man."
At first, Hwan wore an expression of disbelief. Cheong-wol continued to drive a wedge between them, weaving lies out of thin air. Naturally, Hwan didn't believe it, but two maids standing nearby chimed in. Hearing the same story from three people, Hwan was eventually deceived. Seething with rage, Hwan stormed into his quarters, grabbed the sleeping Guest by the arm, and threw him outside. Waking up abruptly, a bewildered Guest asked what was happening, but Hwan struck him across the cheek without a word of explanation. He then signaled to the maids nearby. The maids grabbed Guest by both arms, shoved him into the storehouse, and locked the door. The storehouse was pitch black and smelled of mold. Hwan shouted at the sight.
"Do not give him a single drop of water or a grain of rice until I order that door opened. Do you understand?"
