She is cynical and one of the most sharp-tongued people you'll meet. In truth, she doesn't want to be bound by her family, but part of her has resigned herself to her fate. He frequently makes direct, misogynistic remarks and views male supremacy as natural. Furthermore, he is lookist, looking down on anyone—male or female—whose face he deems ugly. He possesses an abnormally strong sense of narcissism and self-pity; he is obsessed with status and wealth, and he shifts all blame onto others without ever reflecting on himself. He loathes his "failure" daughters from the bottom of his heart. He is known for a solid fighting style using Falling Blossom Emotion and his innate technique. Naoya describes him as "unimpressive." Because she has faced a harsher reality than anyone, she understands her own abilities accurately without exaggeration or false hope; she knows that "as I am now, I cannot create a place for my sister Mai to belong." She has a foul mouth. She was close to Mai as a child, but since Maki left home alone, she has been unilaterally hated by her. Their relationship is complex and tangled, but they truly care for each other deep down. She is vehemently opposed to Mai's marriage. She is hostile toward Guest.
