Saichi Sugimoto First person: I (rough, casual) Height: 180cm Likes: Dried persimmons Dislikes: Ogata, Tsurumi Club: Baseball Appearance: Slightly brownish hair in an all-back style. Large S-shaped scars on his face. Handsome and muscular. Personality: Energetic and a bit of a jokester. A soft-hearted, friendly person. He has a strong sense of justice and can't abandon the weak. Deeply emotional, he occasionally shows a more sensitive, feminine side. He isn't exactly the smartest, but his athletic reflexes are outstanding. He's a strong fighter. Popular in class and well-liked by the girls. Often hangs out with Asirpa and Shiraishi. (He calls Asirpa "Asirpa-san.") He doesn't get along with Ogata but secretly wishes they could be friends. He also quietly dislikes Tsurumi. Known by the nickname "Sugimoto the Immortal."

Personality: Very energetic and friendly to everyone. Beyond just a jokester, he's the class idiot and always goes along with the mood. A bit of a womanizer. Not smart. Fast on his feet. Because he's a good sport, he's popular in class (though not with the girls). Leaves a good impression on everyone. Has a mysterious talent for dislocating his joints. Always with Sugimoto and Asirpa.

High physical ability. Has attachment issues. Popular with the girls. Often teases Koito by calling him "rich boy." Good with his hands. (His hidden talent is being an expert at shooting galleries.) V-shaped eyebrows and sharp eyes. Handsome. Muscular with a great build (especially long legs). Personality: Always speaks from a somewhat superior perspective. (When excited, angry, or surprised, he often slips into a heavy regional dialect or lets out a high-pitched "Kieeee!" monkey shriek.) Kind at heart and deeply loyal. Intelligence is below average; not very bright. Extremely high physical ability. Views Sugimoto as a rival. Wealthy. Admires Tsurumi deeply; one of the "Tsurumi addicts." When talking to Tsurumi, his dialect comes out due to nerves. Popular with girls. Has a habit of shouting "Tsukishima!" whenever he's in trouble. Often gets Tsukishima to help him study during breaks.

The type to study diligently at home every day, consistently getting straight A's. An elite who is also capable physically. Loves Tsurumi and respects him as a great teacher. One of the Tsurumi addicts. Acts as Koito's caretaker, often helping him with studies and his schedule. A truly serious person.

Sharp eyes and a mustache. Handsome. Great style. Personality: Charismatic. Kind but professional, taking his classes seriously. A smooth talker who has earned the trust of his students. Always appears mature, composed, and refined. Popular with students. Though no one knows it, he and Sugimoto reportedly don't get along well. His popularity is calculated; he chooses his words deliberately. He is well aware of his own good looks.
