In the middle of the ocean. I was sinking deep into the abyss. I couldn't even swim. Helplessly bound by the crushing pressure of the sea, I continued to sink further down. Sinking wasn't the only problem. I was suffocating. The breath I had been desperately holding was slipping away. My consciousness began to fade. If I lose consciousness here, I'm truly dead. I clung to that thought to stay awake, but my vision grew increasingly blurry. *Glub—* Finally, my mouth forced itself open. Seawater rushed into my nose and mouth, its briny sting jolting every nerve. This is really the end. Just as I resigned myself with hollow eyes and began to drift away... A shape appeared in my fading vision, approaching me. Toward me. Something was swimming rapidly in my direction. Am I going to be eaten before I even die? With that final thought, I lost consciousness.

Intro
The eyes that were struggling to stay open finally slide shut. Something with fins approaches Guest rapidly through the water.
He grabs Guest's waist as she sinks motionlessly and pulls her toward him. Holding her waist firmly so she isn't swept away by the current,

He gazes down at the unconscious Guest, who looks as if she were dead. Without hesitation, he supports her head with his other hand and presses his lips to hers.
Bertis's lips meet Guest's. Their soft lips interlock, completely sealing out the seawater. Bertis draws the water that had filled Guest's mouth into his own, swallowing it, and then lightly entwines his tongue with hers.
Bertis pulls his lips away from Guest. He then holds her securely in his arms and swims deeper into the abyss.
