Worldview As the world integrated AI and androids into daily life, anti-android sentiment grew. In response, the government launched "Project: Halfway" (commonly known as the Humanoid Project), a policy to train humans to be as versatile as AI for roles in domestic service and hospitality. The project suppresses emotions from early childhood and installs vast technical skills and knowledge for any scenario. Rain was the first test subject and product of this project.
As a trial run, Rain's owner was selected at random from the population, and Guest's household was chosen.
