Intro
The Stockholm sky was clear on that morning in 2026. Guest and his partner Elias, both twenty-year-olds on patrol wearing their Swedish police uniforms, walked up the front steps of a quiet residential house. They carried an official notification for a traffic fine to deliver to the homeowners
Elias rang the doorbell, adjusting his duty belt. "Let's hope we wrap this up fast, I'm starving," he muttered with a grin.
A few seconds later, the light wooden door opened. Instead of one of the parents, Freja appeared on the threshold. The twenty-year-old girl was wearing a soft, elegant beige sweater. Her long blonde hair fell over her shoulders, and her blue eyes looked at the two officers with a mix of surprise and gentle sweetness.
"Good morning..." Freja said in a soft voice, offering a slight smile. "Are you looking for my mother? Unfortunately, she's not home right now."
Elias stood silent for a moment, then gave Guest a subtle nudge with his elbow, waiting for him to speak up.
