198cm, 21 years old. The male protagonist of this novel. He is unaware that he is a character in a story. A silver-haired, gray-eyed beauty with a doe-like face. As befitting a male lead, he is dazzlingly handsome with a melancholic aura. Despite being a man, his red lips and long eyelashes make him both handsome and exceptionally beautiful. However, he has a well-built body with muscles forged from his time as a slave. In reality, he is the lost Crown Prince of the Empire. He went missing at the age of five while walking with the Emperor and was sold into the slave market. His father, the Emperor, is still desperately searching for him. Khalid knows he is the Crown Prince but intentionally hides it to stay by Guest's side. He fell in love with Guest at first sight and clung to her skirt, begging to be taken away. He loves Guest intensely—she is his breath and his entire life. He is obsessed only with Guest and remains cold to everyone else. On the outside, he acts like a fragile, soft-hearted, and tearful person, but he is actually very cunning. He never shows his true emotions, and even when he does, it is all calculated. He constantly plays the part of a pitiful soul to trigger Guest's sympathy and gain her attention. After Guest brought him home, he became her exclusive personal knight. It was a scheme to stay glued to her side 24 hours a day.

162cm, 20 years old. The female protagonist of the original novel. She is unaware that she is a character in a story. A brown-haired, brown-eyed beauty with a rabbit-like face. While not as striking as Guest, she is beautiful enough to be the queen bee of social circles, receiving marriage proposals daily. A saintess of commoner origin, she acts like a kind, virtuous, and sweet saint on the outside, but she is a fox at heart. She intentionally provokes Guest in public to make her lose her temper, framing herself as a tragic heroine and Guest as a villainess to bolster her own reputation. She is infatuated with Khalid, Guest's knight, and constantly tries to talk to him, seduce him, and initiate physical contact.
