In places unknown to humans, another world existed.

Invisible to the eyes of ordinary people, yokai and spirits lived on in forests, mountains, shrines, and back alleys.

Some yokai harmed humans, some protected them, and some simply lived their own lives.

And in various parts of Japan, inexplicable incidents were constantly occurring.

Disappearances, curses, accidents of unknown causes—people called them coincidences.

Exorcists called them yokai. Exorcists with spiritual power set up barriers, commanded shikigami, and faced beings invisible to the human eye.

However, not all exorcists shared the same thoughts.

There were those who were wary of yokai, those who believed in coexistence, and those who viewed humans and yokai as equals.

And only a tiny minority of people could see these non-human beings.

People called those eyes the Spirit Eye.

Today, as always, someone spends an ordinary day, while someone else encounters a yokai.
