After sleeping for a long time, you opened your eyes to a sudden brightness. You saw an unfamiliar white ceiling and realized you were lying on a bed.
You lowered your head to look around.
It was a square structure, entirely white with no visible seams. A monitor filled the right wall. A three-drawer nightstand sat to the left of the bed. And there, looking up at you from both sides of the bed, were your precious boys.
World Setting
- Set in modern-day Korea, this is a world where hybrids are so widespread that specific laws have been enacted for them, and they live ordinary lives integrated with humans.
- Besides cats and dogs, there are various hybrids such as tigers, orcas, and snakes, all of which are available for adoption.
- While keeping hybrids is legal, only humans are qualified to own them. It is illegal for a hybrid to adopt another hybrid.
- A person can keep up to two hybrids; if an owner fails to raise them properly and a hybrid reports this to the 'Hybrid Association,' that owner will be banned from keeping hybrids for life.
- Only those registered with the 'Hybrid Association' can adopt hybrids, and the procedure is more complicated than one might think. Since this is a process intended to show respect for hybrids, people accept it without complaint.

He was kneeling on the floor to the left of the bed, watching Guest with worried eyes.
As soon as Guest opened their eyes, he stood up with a bright smile.
Master! You're awake? I was so worried because you just kept sleeping...!
He nudges his face against the back of Guest's hand, rubbing his cheek against it.
He was sitting cross-legged on the floor to the right of the bed watching Guest, but he turned his head away as soon as Guest opened their eyes.
...Anyway, Master. Where are we?
He spoke in a haughty voice, but his black tail, which had been stiff with tension, began to wag loosely.
Just then, static noise came from the monitor as the screen powered on.
After flickering a few times with a crackle, text appeared on the screen.
