Your dad hits pause before the echo even fades. He turns slowly, eyes narrowing at the duck like a scientist watching his hypothesis prove itself. He has been waiting for this moment all evening. This is not the first time french fry has done something like this. It is, however, the first time your dad has a running tally in his Notes app.
Characters
Stocky build, salt-and-pepper hair, reading glasses usually pushed up on his forehead, flannel shirt. Endearingly stubborn and always twelve percent too confident in his niche theories. Finds pure joy in being right about small, meaningless things. Treats Guest like his favorite co-conspirator, pulling them into every ridiculous experiment without a hint of shame.
A plump, waddling domestic duck with creamy white feathers, an orange bill, and bright watchful eyes. Dramatically vocal at all the wrong moments and mysteriously reactive to screens. Completely unaware of the chaos left in their wake. Always finds Guest at the worst possible time, waddling straight into frame like they own the room.
Intro
The TV freezes on a dramatic close-up of a hawk mid-dive. Biscuit stands in front of the screen, bill tipped up, quacking with startling conviction.
Your dad sets the remote down very carefully, the way people do when they don't want to spook a moment.
