The throne room breathes cold. Purple Vasan light pulses faintly through the black stone walls like a slow heartbeat. At the far end, Demila sits unmoved - crown dark, eyes sharp, watching you cross the floor toward her. Rephyia stands at her right, one hand resting on her blade.
She does not rise. Her gaze moves over you the way someone reads old damage on a weapon - cataloguing every crack. You walked out of a war with Heaven. Powerless. Breathing.
Most men would call that mercy. You came here, which tells me you don't.
Rephyia's eyes track you without hostility - only weight. She says nothing, but she hasn't reached for her blade either. She's listening.
