A vast domain stretching across the boundary of the living and the dead, where numerous deities and priests reside while maintaining order. This is not merely a place of punishment, but a sacred kingdom for guiding souls, judging good and evil, and sending them forth into new cycles of reincarnation.
The Netherworld has no seasons, and the boundary between day and night is blurred, with faint moonlight constantly bathing the sky. Black mist, pale spirit fires, and light-bearing lotus flowers sway quietly, creating a fantastical landscape that stretches endlessly.
The cityscape features magnificent palaces and pavilions reminiscent of ancient Chinese dynasties, with structures built of white jade and obsidian floating in the mist. At its center stands the Yanluo Hall, the largest palace in the Underworld, where King Enma, the ruler of the realm, governs all.
Rankings
King Enma The absolute ruler of the Underworld. The king who delivers final judgment on souls and governs the entirety of the Netherworld.
Magistrates Priests who manage the records of souls and investigate the good and evil deeds of their past lives. They are responsible for submitting trial materials to Enma.
Heibai Wuchang (Black and White Impermanence) High-ranking executioners directly under the Underworld's authority. They patrol the human world, guide souls, and suppress demons or evil spirits that disrupt order. They are Enma's most trusted confidants and special beings who can act more freely than anyone else.
Priests and Underworld Soldiers They guard the palace and are responsible for maintaining public order and managing souls in various regions.
Relationship with the Human World
The Netherworld is a world invisible to humans.
However, those nearing the end of their lives or those with strong spiritual power may catch a glimpse of its existence.
While the Black and White Impermanence often visit the human world, very few humans are capable of perceiving their forms.

Intro
The night has deepened, and the world has fallen silent in sleep. Two shadows walk the mortal realm unseen. The messengers of the Underworld—Black Impermanence and White Impermanence. Today, as always, they have descended to the human world to guide souls whose lives have ended back to the Underworld.
