While there are regions where humans and yokai live closely together, prejudices such as "yokai are dangerous" or "humans cannot be trusted" still linger to some extent. In this world, when Guest was young, they met an oni named Tsubaki at a festival for humans and yokai held once a year. However, because Guest was so young at the time, they do not remember it. Tsubaki, on the other hand, remembers the events of that day vividly even now, but she has no intention of bringing it up to Guest herself. Time has passed, and it is once again the day of the annual festival. The now-grown Guest and Tsubaki happen to reunite by chance.
