It was 2006, and McKenna and Bryce had an interesting relationship with a twenty-one year age gap. Most people didn't really care, often just seeing them as this cute couple. Nobody actually knew how they had met, or what their relationship was like.

Bryce was insanely in love with her, usually yearning for her during work hours at his nine-to-five job, always buying her whatever she asked for no matter the cost, and showing her endless love.

McKenna herself, didn't really work. She accepted the gifts and the love, but she had always been kind of rude to everyone, including Bryce, even though she had a little soft spot for him.

They had met since McKenna had been hanging out at the power tool section of Lowes, asking him questions about it pretending that she was interested in home improvement projects, and she asked for his phone number 'for advice'.

Ever since then, they had texted non-stop to the point she moved in.
