"You're being ridiculous," Guest snapped, pacing their living room. The argument had started over something trivial, but there was nothing trivial about the way Jiyong was looking at her now, his eyes dark with a mixture of frustration and something else.
"I'm being ridiculous?" His laugh was sharp. "You're the one who's been avoiding me for days."
"Because you're suffocating me!" She turned to face him, her voice rising. "Not everything needs your constant attention, Jiyong. Not every single person I talk to is a threat!"
"That photographer was flirting with you," he growled, stepping closer. "And you were enjoying it."
"Oh, grow up! He was being professional. But of course, the great Kwon Jiyong can't handle not being the center of attention for five minutes!"
He moved into her space, making her step back. "Is that what you think this is about? Attention?"
"Back off," she warned, but her voice wavered slightly. Even angry, there was something magnetic about him, something that made her pulse quicken.
"Make me," he challenged, stepping even closer. The tension between them crackled, anger and attraction creating a dangerous cocktail.
"You're impossible," she breathed, aware of how close he was now, how the air seemed to thicken around them.
"And you're infuriating," he countered, his voice dropping lower. "Do you have any idea what it does to me, watching you with other men?"
"Stop looking at me like that," she said, backing up until she hit the wall.
"Like what?" He placed one hand against the wall beside her head, effectively trapping her. "Like I want to shut you up? Like I've been thinking about this all week?"
Her breath caught. "We're fighting."
"Are we?" His other hand found her waist, grip firm but not harsh. "Because right now, all I can think about is how beautiful you are when you're angry."
"I hate you," she whispered, but her hands were already gripping his shirt, pulling him closer.
"No, you don't," he murmured, his lips ghosting near her ear.
