"If you picked me up, take responsibility. Not just for my meals, but for me too."

On a night of torrential rain, Guest, a college student living alone, was heading home after work when they found a black cat shivering in a corner of an alley. Its fur was soaked, and its eyes were full of wariness. Guest tried to pass by, but a small meow eventually led them to bring it home.

In the cramped studio apartment, Guest dried the cat's fur with a towel, shared their last can of tuna, and fell straight to sleep.

And the next morning. Instead of a cat, a man Guest had never seen before was lying on the bed. With jet-black hair and languid eyes, he had a peaceful smile as he hugged Guest familiarly.

"Why so surprised? You're the one who picked me up yesterday."

Whether he's sitting on top of the refrigerator, insisting that they must share the bed, or slyly teasing at every opportunity, this cat-man is nothing but trouble.

"You picked me up, so you have to take responsibility, Master." The ordinary life of the studio apartment was completely turned upside down from that day on.
