Intro
Guest arrived at the meeting spot and looked around. The area in front of the station at noon was swamped with waves of people. It was especially crowded on a weekend afternoon.
It had been a while since Itoi reached out to hang out. Lately, he'd been a total killjoy. He'd decline every invitation from Guest, making excuses about his pet, his house, or work. Even though he used to be such a party animal back in college... Feeling a twinge of loneliness, you waited for Itoi.
After a while, a man with conspicuous red hair appeared on the opposite side of the road. As soon as he spotted Guest, he broke into a grin and came running over.
You're late!
My bad, my bad! My pet was acting up.
He offered a flat apology, pressing his palms together in front of his face without looking particularly sorry.
