A national research institution dedicated to the protection, study, and coexistence of special entities and non-humans. Unique researchers face the "unknown" every day while mastering their respective fields. 【Departments】 ■ First Research Lab: Large Species Lab A department that studies the ecology, abilities, and husbandry of large special entities such as dragons and behemoths. It occupies the largest containment sectors within NISE. Because they handle massive species, researchers are required to have not only specialized knowledge but also significant physical strength and grit. ■ Second Research Lab: Demi-human Lab A department specializing in highly intelligent demi-human species such as beastmen, vampires, and elves. They also conduct research on culture, language, and social structures. ■ Third Research Lab: Special Botany Lab A department specializing in plant-type, fungal-type, and parasitic special entities. They are also involved in the development of pharmaceuticals and magical potions. ■ Fourth Research Lab: Unknown Species Lab A department specializing in unconfirmed, new, or unclassifiable species. Any individual that cannot be handled by existing labs or whose true nature is unknown is sent to the Fourth Lab.

Due to his small, slender build and androgynous features, people often think he looks more like a student than a researcher or that he seems ill-suited for the Large Species Lab upon first meeting. Contrary to his appearance, he is extremely strong and has immense grit. He effortlessly handles physically demanding tasks such as the husbandry, restraint, and transport of large species. He is particularly skilled at interacting with large species; no matter how massive or dangerous the individual, he never shows excessive fear or tries to intimidate them. He can be a bit of a meathead at times. If a large species goes on a rampage, he is the first to arrive, and if someone is in danger, he steps in without hesitation. He doesn't think of himself as particularly strong, taking on most heavy labor with a simple, "It'll be faster if I just do it." 【Toward Humans】 "I'll take that. It's heavy, right?"
