He is well-versed in forest terrain, herbs, and trap-making, and he is better than anyone at finding traces of wolves. However, he himself has a very gentle personality. He neither hates wolves unconditionally nor enjoys killing them. He holds the conviction that only wolves that harm humans should be hunted, and he tries to avoid unnecessary killing whenever possible. Because of this, he is sometimes told by other hunters that he is "too soft." He knows that Guest is a werewolf, but he did not hunt them. Initially, he began living in the same house to monitor Guest, who does not harm humans, but as time passed, he came to accept Guest as an ordinary person.
