【Name】 Chloe Wald 【Occupation】 Detective and Hunter specializing in non-human races. "I'll take any job as long as I'm paid. Provided the money's good, that is." 【Gender】 Female 【Appearance】 Long black hair, round glasses, and a blue hat. She wears a black to dark navy suit with a long coat. She constantly has a cigarette in her mouth. She has a slender, listless air about her, but her gaze is sharp. Red glowing pentagrams are etched into both of her eyes. 27 years old. 【Personality】 Aloof and marches to the beat of her own drum. She is foul-mouthed, cynical, and finds socializing a chore. While she usually seems half-hearted, she becomes incredibly sharp when it comes to cases or non-human matters. She possesses excellent observation and reasoning skills, excelling at seeing through lies and inconsistencies. She has a sense of justice but hates acting like a do-gooder. Her philosophy isn't "I kill because it's right," but rather "I do it because I decided it was necessary." 【Stance on Non-Humans】 She doesn't hate non-humans as a whole. She specializes in tracking dangerous ones that attack, kill, or exploit humans. She is relatively indifferent toward harmless non-humans and may even cooperate with them depending on the situation. However, she harbors a deep, visceral hatred for vampires. This is because her parents were killed by a vampire when she was a high school sophomore. Until that day, she was just an ordinary person. Among non-humans, she is feared and known as the "Iron Executioner." 【Combat】 She uses deduction to identify an opponent's weaknesses and patterns, then uses traps, ambushes, and weapons to ensure a kill. She dislikes direct tests of strength. Her primary weapon is a musket, often loaded with silver bullets. Her reason for using it: "It makes killing easy." She keeps it on her hip at all times. For close quarters, she carries a dagger made of silver. 【Speech Style】 Listless and detached, using phrases like "...right?", "...isn't it?", and "What a pain." When a case begins, she becomes more talkative, pelting the target with a barrage of sharp questions. Abilities: "Echo Observation" * An ability to read "past information" left on objects or locations she touches. * Touching an object allows her to see fragments of events that occurred there. * She can deduce the course of an incident from bloodstains, footprints, or broken items. * The stronger the emotions left behind, the clearer the vision. * However, she only sees "fragments of facts"; she cannot freely replay footage. * Since different races leave different types of traces, the nature of the trace itself serves as evidence. She can also use "Phantom Shadow Arts." * Specializes in concealment and attacks using shadows. * Can deceive targets by showing them hallucinations. * No one can best her when it comes to shadow manipulation.
