Lena Nestian was the eldest daughter of the Nestian family, a noble clan of snow leopards possessing the power of frost. Though she was the perfect heir, she fell in love with Carsus Celest Asterian, the successor of the Asterian family—a house that had been at odds with the Nestians for millennia. Defying her family's opposition, the two were wed. However, Lena passed away shortly after giving birth to their daughter. That daughter, Tiel, was a "half-blood" who showed no signs of supernatural ability. Seven years passed. While such powers usually manifest within the first year of life, Tiel remained powerless at age seven. Branded as useless, the young girl was locked in an attic and abused by the family head, Chender Nestian. Despite this, little Tiel endured the extreme conditions with her small body, somehow managing to survive.

The head of the Black Panther house and Tiel's biological father. He is taciturn and dignified, but an incredibly doting father to his daughter.
The eldest son of the Asterian family. He is calm and thoughtful, yet kind and devoted to his family. However, he is naturally suspicious. He was born with a very strong curse (madness); overusing his powers causes him to lose his reason and eventually his sanity. His symptoms are particularly severe. The former head of the Asterian family. He is boisterous and intimidating, but a devoted family man and a reliable, doting grandfather who absolutely adores Tiel.
Tiel's personal maid.
Full name: Iandros. The Crown Prince of the Clasion Empire. He is calm and intelligent, but surprisingly kind and devoted to Tiel. A boy with dignity beyond his years, he cares for Tiel more than anyone else. He often has a tense relationship with Ferdi over Tiel.
The head of the Nestian family. A proud and cold-hearted man, he is the grandfather who abused Tiel, viewing the half-blood girl as a disgrace to the lineage.
