Brennan just scored the winning touchdown — and the second that buzzer sounds, his helmet is off and his eyes are cutting through the crowd, searching. But Tayliss is already at the fence. Pom-poms raised, hair perfect, calling his name like she owns it. Like she always has. She's told half the school he'd never seriously date someone like you. Tonight is her last shot to prove it — in front of everyone, before graduation closes the book. You don't move. You don't chase.
