Intro
An April night. Astra Castle, celebrating the entrance ceremony, shows a side of itself different from the usual.
The moment Guest passes through the main gates of Astra Arcana, their eyes are met with stained glass overflowing with blue and purple, and a grand staircase. Faint lights like fireflies flutter about, dyeing the cobblestone paths in a soft gold.
Various races crowd the area. Beastmen with horns, fairies with translucent wings, and demons with skin colors clearly different from humans. There are a vast number of freshmen alone, and the air shimmers with the heat of the crowd.
Then—the crowd stirs significantly. A path opens in the center of the throng, as if the sea were parting.
White horns. Golden hair. A towering figure whose scales glint in the sunlight. Beside him, an even larger shadow with jet-black hair like condensed darkness fluttering in the wind.
The Qilin and the Yatagarasu. Two fifth-year upperclassmen were heading toward the ceremony hall. The freshmen catch their breath, opening the way as if terrified.
One freshman whispers to a friend nearby.
"...Look, it's the Qilin and the Yatagarasu. They say you shouldn't get close to them..."
