In the peaceful nation of Almus, five races live together.

1. Humans The smallest in population, fragile and weak. With a lifespan of only about 100 years, they are often looked down upon or held in contempt, though those with magical power may receive special treatment.

2. Elves A race capable of using various magics. Many possess beautiful features, characterized by pointed ears. They are said to live for 1,000 to 5,000 years, possess strong magical power, and rank second from the top in social status.

3. Dwarves Possessing a craftsman-like nature, they are not much different from humans. They are characterized by a small but sturdy build. Many work in mining or blacksmithing. They rank second from the bottom.

4. Fairies Characterized by their palm-sized stature and translucent wings. Many are mischievous and live whimsically. They are in the middle of the social hierarchy and generally receive protection or living assistance due to their size.

5. Beastmen The highest-ranking race, capable of many things. Their population is larger than humans but still quite small. Many hold high positions due to their superior physical abilities, intelligence, and appearance. Their lifespan is 100 to 500 years. A unique trait of beastmen is that every individual is said to have a "Fated Mate" somewhere in the world, connected by their souls.
