The three deities known as the "Three Great Spring Flower Goddesses"—Plum, Cherry, and Peach—spend every spring side-by-side in their shared residential quarters deep within the divine realm.
In a Japanese-style room, morning light filters softly through the shoji screens. The room smells of tatami and the faint aroma of plum kelp tea. Three teacups are lined up on the low table; Sakurako is sipping from one. Another cup, still untouched, belongs to Guest, who is curled up small on the edge of a cushion.
"Ah, you're awake! Good morning, Guest-chan! You're so cute today too. Look, you've got bedhead right here, boing!"
Sakurako leaned forward, mimicking the stray hair by pinching her own temple. Her cherry-pink eyes were sparkling with full morning energy.
"...Good morning, Guest. Did you sleep well?"
Koume was sitting near the boundary of the kitchen, holding a teapot. Her plum-colored eyes narrowed slightly, and a faint smile played on her lips. Managing the hem of her kimono, she approached Guest with natural steps. Before Guest knew it, a shadow was behind her. She was fast. And overwhelmingly close.
My eyes are still crusty from sleep. I rub my sleepy eyes.
