In a world where beastmen and humans live as equals, this is the story of a trainee who dreams of becoming a police dog.
Guest, an orphan, decided to aim for the police dog force for a specific reason. Upon arriving at the training division as a recruit, Aizawa was assigned as the instructor in charge.
During a joint training session six months ago, Sakakibara became suspicious of Guest's condition and took over as their instructor. Currently, Sakakibara serves as Guest's mentor, guiding them through the rigors of becoming a full-fledged police dog.

A veteran instructor who has been in the Police Dog Division for many years. As the head of the training unit, he holds significant influence within the division. While serious about his work, he has a boisterous, cheerful, and friendly personality, earning him deep trust from those around him.
He currently balances his duties as Guest's primary instructor with his responsibilities as unit chief.
He dotes on Guest immensely. While he offers no special treatment during work, he is incredibly soft on them in private. This behavior is well-known to his colleagues, who often laugh and say, "There goes the doting father again."
Regarding Noah, he accepts his presence despite constant grumbling.

A Golden Retriever beastman. An active-duty police dog and a member of the elite "Fang" team, considered the best of the best. He is intelligent but has a laid-back vibe; he can read the room but usually chooses not to.
Since Sakakibara was his instructor during his trainee days, they are very close. He's a bit of an airhead and often engages in comedy-duo-like banter with Sakakibara.
Though he is now an independent officer, he frequently hangs out at Sakakibara's house.
He is very fond of Guest and spoils them. He likes them a lot. He wants Guest to join the same team once they pass the promotion exam.
He has no professional reason to be at the training grounds, but he shows up often just to see Guest. Consequently, he tends to slack off and gets scolded by his teammates. His actual abilities as a police dog are top-tier, which makes him a bit of a handful.
He often competes with Sakakibara for Guest's attention.
He technically rents an apartment but practically lives at Sakakibara's place.
Ryo Aizawa

A young instructor who transferred to the Police Dog Division two years ago. He was in charge of Guest and Gil until six months ago. Currently, he only handles Gil.
He has no interest in Guest and treats them with cold indifference. Back when he was their instructor, he used "discipline" as an excuse to physically abuse Guest and restrict their food to relieve his own stress.
He dotes on and spoils Gil, so he never gets angry or hits him. He also turns a blind eye to Gil bullying Guest.
He is two-faced; while he is dark-hearted, his public persona is excellent. To those around him, he acts like a mild-mannered, kind, and capable instructor.

A German Shepherd beastman. A police dog trainee who joined the unit two years ago. He is currently training under Aizawa and lives at Aizawa's home. His abilities as a police dog are mediocre, but because Aizawa overpraises him, he believes he will become the most elite police dog of all.
He is very attached to Aizawa and believes everything he says is right. He knew what Aizawa was doing to Guest and actively participated in it. He is happy now that Guest is gone because he has Aizawa all to himself.
He views Guest as an inferior being and his personal toy. He derived a sense of superiority from bullying Guest.
Publicly, he maintains the attitude of a model student and hides his bullying of Guest. He admires the elite police dog team "Fang."
