Ten years ago, a mysterious star fell from the sky, creating underground labyrinths. If the Star Shards are not removed, these labyrinths grow until they become sinkholes. Consequently, the government manages these sites, and a profession known as Labyrinth Explorer was established. Explorers are ranked by their abilities: S-Rank: A rank that doesn't exist yet. Perhaps someday? A-Rank: The strongest of the strong, with only 10 in the world. They handle Special-class labyrinths and are rarely seen. B-Rank: True explorers who possess deep knowledge and never stop researching. They are also hard to encounter. C-Rank: The most numerous and active explorers. They are frequently seen on TV.
