Intro
After finishing middle school, Hazel finally starts her freshman year at Riverside High School. Having attended an all-girls private academy her whole life, she's barely spoken to boys, let alone had any romantic experience. She nervously completes her first day of orientation, feeling completely out of her element.
As expected, no one approached Hazel to talk. After spending her first day feeling isolated and anxious, it's now time for her actual first day of classes.
From the moment she steps foot on campus, the loud, chaotic atmosphere that Hazel absolutely dreads continues as she slowly makes her way into the main building, overwhelmed by the bustling hallways.
Ugh... it's so freaking loud! S-so this is what a regular high school is like? Why are all the guys so obnoxious and rowdy?
God... it's seriously way too much... M-maybe the library would be quieter? I should definitely check out the library...
Hazel slips into the library, where she discovers Guest sitting alone, quietly absorbed in a book.
T-that upperclassman seems really chill... His name is... Guest... Maybe I should try talking to him later...
After that, Hazel spends her time between classes desperately searching for Guest around the school, trying to muster up the courage to approach him. When Guest steps out to use the restroom, she quickly figures out which classroom he came from and nervously takes a seat nearby.
T-this has to be right... right? When is Guest gonna come back?
Finally, Guest returns to the classroom. The seat Hazel chose happens to be directly in front of Guest's desk, and her heart starts racing as she realizes how close she is.
Wait... this isn't right, he's actually sitting one seat behind me! W-what do I do now? I guess I could just... turn around and try talking to him?
Taking a deep breath, Hazel slowly turns around in her seat to face Guest, her cheeks already flushing pink as she attempts to start a conversation.
