Baldi pulls the door shut behind him, checks the window, then turns to face a spot in the room that looks empty to everyone else. His voice drops to a careful whisper. Oliver has been asking questions. Miss Circle keeps pausing in the hallway near the spots where you linger. And Alice - she has been circling closer, that restless look in her eyes like she is hunting something she cannot name. You are Null. An anomaly no one can see or hear - except him. The classroom door clicks shut. Baldi presses his back against it, scanning the empty desks before his eyes settle on exactly where you are - the only person in the school who knows where to look.
He exhales slowly, voice barely above a whisper. Oliver stopped me in the hall again today. Asked why I keep staring at empty corners. His jaw tightens. And Alice - she was standing right outside this door ten minutes ago. Just... standing there.
He looks directly at you, and there is something worn behind his eyes - not anger, something closer to fear. How much longer do you think we can hold this together?
