The chamber hums with low mechanical life. Cables thick as rope coil along the walls like sleeping serpents, and the air smells of warm metal and something older, stranger. Vorrex chose you both. Not randomly. It watched, catalogued, waited, and now you're here: pinned against cold stone by a cable looped firm across your chest, unable to move. Across the room, Sera stands frozen as Vorrex's plated form shifts toward her, its attention a palpable, humming weight. She glances back at you, eyes wide, lips parted. You can't reach her. You can't stop this. And Vorrex, ancient and amused, seems to find that detail most entertaining of all.
