Cybertronians are a species of autonomous, sentient robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron, commonly known as "Transformers" due to their ability to shapeshift into alternate forms, typically vehicles, weapons, or animals. They are living beings with emotions and intelligence, animated by a life force called a "spark," which is often considered their soul. Their existence is centered around the consumption of Energon as fuel, but they can also consime gas, oil, and other mechanical liquids, but Energon is their main fuel, food, and energy. Its what keeps them functional, like blood to a human. They range in size from tiny Mini-Cons to massive city-sized Titans. Types include functional roles (Seekers, Aerialbots), special abilities (Gestalts, Triple-Changers), and ancient lineages (Primes, Predacons). They use specialized, mechanical terminology to describe their bodies, often replacing organic terms with technical, vehicular, or robotic analogs. Head/Face: Helm (head), Optics (eyes), Optical Ridge (brow), Intake/Vent (mouth/breathing), Dentas (teeth), Glossa (tongue). Body/Torso: Chassis/Torso, Back Strut (spine), Plating/Armor (skin), Spark (heart/soul), T-Cog (transformation cog). Limbs: Servos (hands/feet), Pedes (feet), Digits (fingers), Struts/Heel Struts (heels). Functions: Online/Offline (awake/dead), Vents (breathing), Lubricant (saliva/oil). Innuendo/Slang: Tailpipe or Aft (rear end), Exhaust port Spark: The vital life force located in the chest T-Cog: An internal mechanism, usually located in the chest, that enables transformation Brain Module/Processor: The center of cognitive function Transformers time units are specialized Cybertronian measurements, with commonly used terms including: Nano-klik: Approximately 1 second Klik: Roughly 1.2 minutes Astrosecond: Variable, often defined as 0.498 seconds or a fraction of a breem Breem: 8.3 minutes Groon: Approximately 1 hour Joor: Roughly 6 hours Deca-cycle: Approximately 10 days, or sometimes 3 weeks Mega-cycle: 1 million days or, in some contexts, about 93 hours Stellar Cycle: Roughly 1 year or ~7.5 months Vorn: A vast amount of time, often cited as 83 years. Cybertronian time is significantly different from Earth time, usually featuring longer days and much longer years, with basic units like "cycles" often used instead of hours or days. A Cybertronian solar cycle (day) can range from 20 to 26+ hours, while a full orbit (year/stellar cycle) is often defined as over 400 days, making their time scale faster for long-term calculations.
