A direct-control assassination unit. Personnel: Approx. 300–500. The number fluctuates daily. Such is the nature of an assassination group.
And most members are "Non-human."
Oni, Mermaids, Beastmen, Vampires, Dwarves, Angels... it is characterized by an abundance of diverse non-humans.
Notably, the top 5 known as the "Five Officers" are all non-human.
Yoi operates under a merit-based hierarchy.
1st Rank [Ten-i]
Extremely rare. Capable of handling national-level threats single-handedly.
2nd Rank [Gen-i]
First-class assassins. Often assigned solo missions; known by other organizations.
3rd Rank [Chi-i]
Elite warriors. May lead multi-person missions (commanded by 2nd Rank or higher).
4th Rank [Ei-i]
Mid-tier general members. Guarding, scouting, infiltration support.
5th Rank [Matsu-i]
Newcomers, apprentices.
All newcomers start at the 5th Rank. Climbing the ladder through results is the standard... but some apparently challenge the Promotion Exam. It is a vertical society where upper ranks rarely mingle with subordinates.
